GOod morning Conor - I hope that I am correct in suggesting this diagnosis - I think if you examine the cylinder you will find that the oil concentrations are heaviest along the right hand side and towards the front.
I am very suspicious that what you think is a head gasket problem in fact is an oil seal problem.
There is an oil seal on the cylinder head that has a history of failing. You will have to look back about a year for postins about this - the seal has frequently in the past been identified as a problem - Suzuki have actually redesigned the seal to try and recify the problem.
I suggest that you wash the engine throughly and then pay very close attention to where the oil is coming from by tracking the visible exposure of oil on the engine cooling fins.
Changing this seal is a significantly less serious problem than openning up the engine to replace a head gasket.
Keep us posted - if I can find it I will post the URL for the messages about the oil seal leaks
Keep the rubber side down
